Tiballi, DO
Dr. Tiballi received his undergraduate degree from the Franciscan
University of Steubenville, OH. He received his medical degree from the
New York College of Osteopathic Medicine of New York Institute of
Technology and completed residencies in Internal Medicine & Pediatrics at
the Medical Center of Delaware and Alfred I. DuPont Children's’ Hospital.
He trained in Infectious Diseases at the University of Michigan in Ann
Arbor. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and
Infectious Diseases and practices Adult & Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
He is clinical assistant professor of Medicine at the University of
Illinois. His areas of
interest include Lyme disease, fungal infections and antifungal medications, drug
resistance, infection control & epidemiology, and maternal-fetal
infections. He has authored numerous scientific articles and book
chapters. Dr. Tiballi has practiced in the northwest suburbs of Chicago
since 1995 and founded GERMBUSTERS® in 1996.
Seema Ahmed, MD
Dr. Ahmed received her medical degree from Gandhi Medical College and
completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Cook County Hospital. She
completed her Infectious Diseases training at Rush University in
Chicago. She is board certified in Internal Medicine & Infectious
Diseases. Her practice is restricted to Adult Infectious Diseases. Her
areas of interest include bone and joint infections, bloodstream
infections, tuberculosis, Lyme disease and diabetic infections. Dr.
Ahmed sees patients in the Hoffman Estates office.
Deborah A. Schiappa, DO
Dr. Schiappa received her undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois
University. She received her medical degree from the Chicago College of
Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University and completed her residency
in Internal Medicine at Rush University in Chicago. She also trained in
Infectious Diseases at Rush University in Chicago. She is board certified
in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. She has served as assistant
professor of Medicine at the University of Illinois. Her areas of interest
include Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C infection, HIV care, hospital acquired
infections and antibiotic resistance in bacteria. She has authored
numerous scientific articles. Dr. Schiappa sees patients at the Hoffman
Estates office.
Priya Behari, MD
Dr. Behari received her undergraduate degree from the University of
Michigan and her medical degree from Wright State University in Ohio.
She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Loyola University
Medical Center and her Infectious Diseases Fellowship at the University
of Chicago/University of Illinois Joint program. She is board certified
in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Her interests include
infection control and epidemiology, HIV care, diabetic wound care, bone
and joint infections, and outpatient antibiotic care. Dr. Behari sees
patients in the Elgin office.
Mia Taormina, DO
Dr. Mia received her undergraduate degree from Albion College in
Michigan and her medical degree from Michigan State University. She
completed her Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Diseases
fellowship at Botsford Hospital Medical Center in suburban Detroit. She
is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Her
interests include bone and joint infections, diabetic wound
complications, foodborne illness, community health issues and HIV care.
Monica Sharma, DO
Dr. Sharma received her undergraduate degree from the University of
Michigan and her medical degree from Michigan State University. She
completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Lutheran General
Hospital and her Infectious Diseases fellowship at Indiana University in
Indianapolis. She is
board certified in Internal Medicine and
Infectious Diseases. Her interests include viral infections
including cytomegalovirus, adenovirus, West Nile virus, fungal
infections including histoplasmosis and Cryptococcus, and HIV care.
